Ms. Fleetwood is the Research Administrator at the Center for Health
and Social Research. She received her bachelor of science degree in
Sociology (1993) from State University of New York College at
Buffalo, and her certification as a Professional of Human Resources
(2002) from the Human Resources Certification Institute. In addition,
she recently became a Certified Research Administrator (2010) through
the Research Administrators Certification Council. She has a
comprehensive background of over 16 years in scientific
administration, budget management, human resource administration,
public relations, and special events planning.
Ms. Fleetwood's major job responsibilities include providing
oversight and management to the Center's research projects in aspects
relating to human resources, budgeting, and overall Center
operations. She coordinates all grant and IRB submissions for the
Center, as well as directing the management of SSP records and
materials. In addition, Ms. Fleetwood oversees website content and
creates the Center's newsletter and informational materials.
She is a member of the Buffalo-Niagara Human Resource Association
(BNHRA), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and the
Society of Research Administrators (SRA) International. For the past
ten years Ms. Fleetwood served on the Buffalo State College Child
Care Board and is its immediate Past President, as well as a member
of the personnel and finance committees.
