Background and Job Description
Dr. Marczynski is the Assistant Director and a
Senior Research Scientist at the Center for Health and Social Research. She
received her undergraduate degree in Mathematics and earned her Master's
and Ph.D. in Epidemiology and Community Health from the University at Buffalo.
Dr. Marczynski has worked with Dr. Wieczorek for over 20 years on various research
projects providing scientific and advisory support.
Her major job responsibilities
include coordination of scientific portions of Center
projects, assistance in writing Center-related grant
proposals, questionnaire development, CATI system administration,
data management and analysis, interpretation and presentation of results, and various
evaluation activities. In addition, she teaches professional development and
graduate-level courses in
epidemiology and project evaluation.
