Background and Job Description

Ms. Pawlowski is a Senior Research Specialist at the Center for Health and Social Research. She received her Bachelor of Science degree concentrating in Applied Sociology from the State University of New York College at Buffalo. She has been with the Center since July of 2002.

Ms. Pawlowski’s primary roles at the Center include maintaining a federally funded Buffalo Longitudinal Study of Young Men and operating a computer-assisted telephone dialing system designed to program surveys and collect data. Her expertise is interviewing subjects face-to-face and by telephone to collect valid data on sensitive topics like alcohol and drug use. Additional proficiencies which lend support to projects and partnerships associated with the Center include locating, tracking and recruiting subjects, verifying and preserving data and creating protocols to train/guide co-workers. Ms. Pawlowski’s position allows her to assist in utilizing important information about our society which often leads to benefits in our own community.
