Professor JonMaire began his forensics career at the Buffalo Police Department as a police chemist. He worked at Erie County Central Police Services as a forensic analyst. He retired from the Niagara County Sheriff Dept. as Chief Forensic Investigator.
Professor JonMaire is also a certified Police Officer having compled officer training at the police
academy.
Specialized forensic training has come from the FBI Academy (fire related forensic chemistry, advanced biological analysis of bloodstains, basic chromatography, serological techniques, gun shot residue school, hair and fiber analysis school), Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, NYS Fire Academy, Ohio Fire Academy, and has attended over twenty symposia on forensics.
