The Chemistry Department consists of ten full time faculty members and four adjunct faculty and is located on the top floor of the Science Building at Buffalo State College. The department houses the necessary instrumentation to support a wide variety of research interests. The interests of the department cover a wide range of topics within the traditional fields of analytical, biochemical, inorganic, organic, physical chemistry and chemical education. Additionally, the department has a strong and growing interest in the area of forensic analysis. Many of the ongoing projects are collaborative involving faculty of other departments, universities and laboratories.
