AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF CHEMISTS AWARD
This award consists of a certificate of merit a one-year associate membership in the A.I.C. The award is given to a senior chemistry major for outstanding academic achievement.
CHEMICAL RUBBER CO CHEMISTRY ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
This award consists of a copy of the latest CRC handbook and a commemorative bookplate. The award is given for outstanding achievement in CHE111/CHE112.
ACS UNDERGRADUATE ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY AWARD
The award consists of an 8 month subscription to Analytical Chemistry and a concurrent honorary membership in the ACS Analytical Division. The award is given to chemistry major for outstanding performance in CHE 301.
GREATBATCH ENTERPRISES GRADUATE ASSISTANT AWARD
The award consists of $100.00 and is given to the department graduate teaching assistant, who is currently enrolled in the MA or M.S. Ed. programs, for education, concern for the welfare of students and attitude toward assigned responsibilities.
MARGARET DUPRE MEMORIAL AWARD
The award consists of $50.00 and is given to an outstanding female chemistry major in the junior class
MINORITY STUDENT AWARD
This award consists of $100.00 and is given to a minority student for outstanding performance in chemistry courses

LINUS PAULING AWARD
This award consists of a copy of the latest edition of the Merck Index. It is given to a senior chemistry major for outstanding overall academic achievement and involvement in extracurricular activities.

CHEMISTRY ELECTIVES AWARD
This award consists of $100.00 and is given to the chemistry major who completes the greatest number of elective credits in chemistry. In the event of a tie, the candidate having the highest QPA in chemistry courses will receive the award.
ACS COMMITTEE ON POLYMER EDUCATION AWARD
The award consists of a certificate of merit and a videotape describing opportunities in the field of polymer chemistry. It is given to a sophomore or junior chemistry major for outstanding performance in CHE 201/202.
FORENSIC CHEMISTRY AWARD
This award consists of $50.00 and is given to the graduating senior in the Forensic Chemistry Program with the highest GPA in the major. Sponsored by Dr. Pacheco and Ms. Sokol.
SAUL BARRON AWARD
This new award is for the chemistry student which meets the following criteria: a male student with the highest QPA in chemistry will be chosen in the odd years and a female student with the highest QPA in chemistry will be chosen in the odd years.

Iota Sigma Pi is a national honor society for women in Chemistry. Undergraduate and Graduate Chemistry students who meet specified criteria of academic achievement are eligible for membership.
