Only official logos and logotypes bearing the trademark symbol are to be used on merchandise such as T-shirts, coffee mugs, or other products. This applies to products purchased by the college or by any auxiliary or ancillary organization of the college, whether those products are produced for use by the college or for retail sale. Care must be taken to ensure that the logos and logotypes reproduce legibly on final products and that official college colors are used.
Buffalo State faculty and staff wishing to order merchandise must use licensed vendors. Work with the Buffalo State Trademark and Licensing/Finance and Management Office to ensure you are working with licensed vendors. Work with the Purchasing Office to secure pricing, vendors, and purchase orders. Do not initiate orders without following these steps; purchases may not be approved.
Vendors wishing to use college wordmarks, logos, or seals must be licensed and trademarked images must be used. The Finance and Management/Trademarks and Licensing Office is responsible for managing all agreements with vendors. The college partners with www.trademarxonline.com to license and release artwork for this purpose.
Do not use logos or logotypes with the trademark symbol for print or web publishing.
