Referring to Buffalo State College

The preferred reference to the college for an external audience is Buffalo State College, State University of New York. Please refer to the college as Buffalo State College, not BSC. It may or may not be necessary to include State University of New York. Base decisions upon context. A publication that is produced for an internal (campus) audience, which is already aware that Buffalo State is a SUNY institution, will differ from a publication produced for an external audience, particularly a national or international audience, which may need clarification.
