COLLEGE RELATIONS OFFICE

WEB HELP

Web templates have been developed to help campus Web developers get a polished site up and running as quickly as possible.  There are 10 total templates: six designs for academic departments and four for administrative offices. Any official Buffalo State academic department, administrative office, or research/academic center can build a site using official college templates.

Templates are Easy
The Web-based template interface (accessible using your NT credentials) lets you concentrate on content, rather than the mechanics of Web development. You don't need to create graphics, pick colors, insert logos, or learn HTML. Contact and academic program information is pulled into your template site automatically.

If you represent an academic department or key campus office, you are encouraged to contact College Relations, as we can provide direct Web support.

Getting Started
You must take a short training course before you start working with the templates. Template training is hosted by Aaron Knoll, College Relations, and held twice a month in CyberQuad 318. Advance registration is required, so your template site will be ready for you to access during training.

Use Your Own Photos
If you are using the Web template system, we will scan, optimize, and upload the photos for you. Forward photos to Sue Zilliox at zilliosa@buffalostate.edu. Please mark your photos with your department or office name, and contact information.
