COLLEGE RELATIONS OFFICE

WEB

Current Site

College Relations released the latest design of the Buffalo State Web site in November 2008. Read our redesign blog to learn more about how we approached this project.

This new version was guided, as always, by user feedback and best practices. User feedback is gathered through Webmaster mail, usability studies, search keywords, traffic statistics, and something new: the Web Tastemakers, a group of faculty, staff, and alumni Web testers.

In September 2008, the Web Team presented the new site to students from Dean Reinhart's (Intro to) BSC 101 class. In this podcast excerpt, students reflect on the current site and share their thoughts on the new look. The complete discussion can be heard here.

In November 2007, the Web team held an open forum with college faculty and staff. In this discussion, the Web team detailed the metrics used to inform the next version of buffalostate.edu, a usability study performed by RIT, traffic and search trends, and results from recent student surveys and card sorting exercises.
