Bachelor's degree applications are available in the Registrar's Office, Moot Hall 210, and online at the Registrar's Web site, which includes information on degree requirements and application deadlines.
Bachelor's degree application deadlines for 2007-2008
- May 2008 degrees: February 1.
- August 2008 degrees: February 22 if you wish to participate in the Commencement ceremony and/or have your name included in the program booklet.
Note: August 2008 degree candidates may apply by June 6 if they neither wish to participate in Commencement nor have their names printed in the May 10 Commencement booklet.
Those who receive the bachelor's Commencement informational postcard at their permanent addresses during the week of spring recess (March 24-29):
- December 2007 graduates.
- Potential May 2008 degree candidates who applied for their degrees by February 1.
- Potential August 2008 degree candidates who apply for their degrees by February 22.
Late Degree Applicants
Those who apply after February 1 and February 22 may obtain one bachelor's Commencement informational postcard beginning March 24 from the Registrar's Office upon submitting a degree application. The Registrar's Office will date stamp the postcard to verify their receipt of the degree application.
Beginning with Commencement Kickoff on April 9 and continuing through May 3, late degree applicants may take the date-stamped postcard to the bookstore to register for Commencement and obtain guest tickets. Learn more about the registration process.
Please note: Buffalo State makes every effort to print all eligible graduates' names in the Commencement program booklet. May 2008 degree candidates who apply after the February 1 deadline and August 2008 degree candidates who apply after the February 22 early August application deadline are not guaranteed listing in the program.
