Commencement Marchers 2009
Demonstrate your pride in our graduates! Participate in commencement 2009 by marching in one or more ceremonies. And plan to celebrate with your graduates and their families at the receptions.

Online registration is now closed. Registered marchers will receive confirmation via e-mail close to commencement. You may view the list of currently registered marchers.
At any time during the year, you may e-mail commencereg@buffalostate.edu with any questions or suggestions about marching.
Academic Regalia
Rentals: Friday, March 27 was the deadline to order regalia with guaranteed hood colors and standard charges. Contact Marybeth Keller in the bookstore at 878-5509 or e-mail bksbuffalo@bncollege.com to place rental orders.
Academic regalia rental costs (tax included). Each unit includes cap, gown, hood, and tassel.
Bachelor's unit: $53.23
Master's unit: $57.98
Doctoral unit: $66.28
Purchases: Faculty and staff regalia purchases can be placed through the bookstore at any time during the year. Purchase prices vary. Call Marybeth Keller at 878-5509, and please plan on 10 weeks for delivery.
Rehearsal
Commencement day
On Commencement day, marchers should report to the robing room in the Houston Gymnasium at the following times:
- 10:00 a.m. Bachelor's Ceremony
Report no later than 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Bachelor's Ceremony
Report no later than 1:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Master's/C.A.S. Ceremony
Report no later than 5:30 p.m.
Instructions for all ceremonies
Enter the Houston Gym and report to the main gymnasium (second floor). PLEASE SIGN IN FOR EACH CEREMONY IN WHICH YOU MARCH.
Proceed to your place in the lineup, indicated by a chair with your name on it. Put on your academic garb. The faculty marshal will provide marching instructions, and the processional will leave the robing room 10 minutes before the ceremony is to begin. A program will be on your chair in the Sports Arena where the ceremony takes place.
When you return from either the 10:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. ceremony, the new lineup for the next ceremony will be in place in Houston Gym. Therefore, if you are marching again, you may have a new place in the lineup. Please sign in again at the registration table so staff know you are accounted for.
A hospitality room will be available throughout the day for your convenience. Please arrive early if you wish to enjoy refreshments before your reporting time.
