COMMENCEMENT

You WILL RECEIVE the 2012 commencement information postcard at your permanent address during spring recess (March 19-24), IF our records indicate that you are one of the following:

  •  A December 2011 or January 2012 graduate;
    OR
  • A potential May 2012 degree or C.A.S. candidate (you submitted your master's degree/C.A.S. application by February 1, 2012).
    OR
  • A potential August 2012 degree or C.A.S. candidate (you submitted your master's degree/C.A.S. application by February 1, 2012).

Your receipt of the commencement information postcard will be our welcome to you to participate in the 2012 commencement ceremony and our request that you familiarize yourself with the information in this website. Your name will appear in the commencement program booklet if you are an eligible master's degree/C.A.S. candidate.

You WILL NOT RECEIVE the commencement information postcard (during spring recess, March 19-24) IF you did not apply for your degree by the appropriate deadlines. Your name will not appear in the commencement program booklet.

Please note: While we make every effort to include all degree candidates' names in the commencement program booklet, students who did not submit their degree applications by February 1 are not guaranteed listing.

Master's degree/C.A.S. applications are available in The Graduate School office, Cleveland Hall 204, and also online, where you may print the application. You must then submit the completed application in Cleveland Hall 204.

If you miss the February 1 deadline, take your completed application to obtain your commencement informational postcard (available beginning March 26). The Graduate School staff will validate your postcard, and this is required for you to register and receive your guest tickets in the bookstore beginning April 11.

Registration/guest ticket distribution for the Commencement ceremony begins with the Commencement Kickoff, event on Wednesday, April 11, 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. in the bookstore. Registration continues through May 5 during regular store hours.
