Commencement Notification
You WILL RECEIVE the 2009 Commencement informational postcard at your permanent address during spring recess (March 23-28) IF our records indicate you are one of the following:
- A December 2008 graduate;
OR - A potential May 2009 degree candidate (you submit your bachelor's degree application by February 6, 2009);
OR - A potential August 2009 degree candidate (you must submit your bachelor's degree application by February 19, 2009).
The postcard is our welcome to you to participate in the 2009 Commencement ceremony and request that you familiarize yourself with the information in this Web site.
You WILL NOT RECEIVE the Commencement informational postcard (during spring recess, March 23-28) if you do not apply for your degree by the appropriate deadlines.
Bachelor's degree applications are available in the Registrar's Office, Moot Hall 210, and also online where you may print and complete the form. You must then submit the completed form to the Registrar's Office.
Program Booklet & Graduate Listing
The program booklet that is distributed at commencement will include the names of:
- December 2008 graduates.
- May 2009 potential degree candidates who apply for their degrees in the Registrar's Office by February 6.
- August 2009 potential degree candidates who apply for their degrees in the Registrar's Office by February 19.
NOTE: Buffalo State makes every effort to include all degree candidates' names in the commencement program booklet. Degree candidates who apply for their degrees after the deadlines (February 6 for May 2009 graduation, and February 19 for August 2009 graduation) are not guaranteed listing in the program.

Registration & Tickets
Registration/guest ticket distribution for the Commencement ceremony begins with Commencement Kickoff on Wednesday, April 8, 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. in the bookstore. Ticket distribution will continue through May 9, during regular store hours.
