You WILL RECEIVE the 2008 Commencement informational postcard at your permanent address during spring recess (March 24-29) IF our records indicate you are one of the following:
- A December 2007 graduate;
OR - A potential May 2008 degree candidate (you submitted your bachelor's degree application by February 1, 2008);
OR - A potential August 2008 degree candidate (you must submit your bachelor's degree application by February 22, 2008).
See degree application deadlines and instructions.
Your receipt of the Commencement informational postcard will be our welcome to you to participate in the 2008 Commencement ceremony and our request that you familiarize yourself with the information in this Web site. Your name will appear in the Commencement program booklet if you are an eligible bachelor's degree candidate.
You WILL NOT RECEIVE the Commencement informational postcard (during spring recess, March 24-29) if you do not apply for your degree by the appropriate deadlines. Your name will not appear in the Commencement program booklet.
If you did not submit your degree application by the deadlines, yet you do intend to complete your degree in May or August 2008 (you have enough courses in progress), please contact your departmental adviser for guidance and/or submit a degree application.
Bachelor's degree applications are available in the Registrar's Office, Moot Hall 210, and also online where you may print and complete the form. You must then submit the completed form to the Registrar's Office.
Please note: We make every effort to include all degree candidates' names in the Commencement program booklet, thought students who did not submit their degree applications by the February deadlines are not guaranteed listing.
If you miss the February 1 deadline for May 2008 graduation, or the February 22 deadline for August 2008 graduation , take your completed bachelor's degree application to the Registrar's Office to obtain your Commencement informational postcard (available beginning March 24). The Registrar staff will validate your postcard, and this is required for you to register and receive your guest tickets in the bookstore beginning April 9.
Registration/guest ticket distribution for the Commencement ceremony begins with Commencement Kickoff on Wednesday, April 9, 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. in the bookstore. Ticket distribution will continue through May 3 during regular store hours.
