Buffalo State College celebrated its 137th Commencement on Saturday, May 16, 2009, in the Sports Arena. Together, with the campus community and the graduates’ families, we celebrated the achievements of our seniors and advanced degree candidates.
Marsha Norman, a Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright, was the keynote speaker for both undergraduate ceremonies. Norman was be awarded a SUNY honorary doctor of letters by the college.
Alan November, educational technology consultant, delivered the commencement address at the 6:00 p.m. master’s hooding and C.A.S. ceremony.
