Careers for Media Production Majors
The Media Production/Broadcasting major prepares students to work in many different fields of digital electronic media. Some graduates are employed as producers, videographers, editors and engineers for television news stations, others work in radio news. Additionally, many graduates work on-air as radio DJs.
The major also prepares students for the management side of radio and television, working in sales, promotions and similar areas.
Beyond traditional radio and television stations, Broadcasting graduates can be found in audio and video production studios, music production enterprises, corporate and organizational media facilities, and similar creative endeavors.
