Off-Campus Study
Students may obtain permission to take courses at other colleges while still enrolled at Buffalo State; Application for Off-Campus Study forms are available at the Registrar's Office.
Opportunities for earning credits through other schools:
Cross-Registration allows Buffalo State students to take one course a semester at most other public or private schools in Western New York at Buffalo State rates.
SUNY Learning Network is an online education program with courses at 2-year and 4-year schools affiliated with the State University of New York.
National Student Exchange allows Buffalo State students to spend one or two semesters at one of 175 colleges or universities in 49 states, plus the District of Columbia, three U.S. territories (Guam, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands), and five Canadian provinces (British Columbia, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Quebec, Saskatchewan).
Study Abroad allows Buffalo State students to spend one or two semesters in Australia, Canada, England, Italy, The Netherlands, Puerto Rico or Spain. Additionally, through the inter-SUNY Study Abroad network, Buffalo State students can attend schools on any continent, including places such as Japan, Vietnam, Slovakia, New Zealand, Ghana, Cuba, Israel, Morocco, India, and hundreds more.
