PR Grad Named Black Achiever
A 2004 alumna of the Communication Department's public relations graduate program was named one of 25 Western New York "Black Achievers in Industry."
Vonetta Nix received a master's degree in multidisciplinary studies (public relations management sequence) last spring. She currently is human resource information systems specialist with People, Inc. in Buffalo. In 2003 Ms. Nix was honored in a Buffalo News special section called "A Salute to Black Professionals."
Also receiving the 2004 Black Achiever award was Bradford Watts, a broadcasting alumnus and former member of the broadcasting faculty at Buffalo State. He currently teaches at Erie Community College.
