The Mission of the Buffalo State Counseling Center

The Counseling Center dedicates itself to providing students with support, education, and advocacy for their personal and academic success. Furthermore, we are especially committed to promoting each student's ability to live and work in a diverse society. Through our unique position in the College we foster the holistic development of students through self-awareness, emotional support, and community involvement.

As the Director of The Counseling Center, I want to make you aware of our services which are free and confidential. The Counseling Center staff are committed to providing support and high quality psychological and psychiatric care to all enrolled Buffalo State students.   We are fully accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services. We offer outreach and educational programs designed to help you do your best while you are a student here.    Our services address a wide range of personal and academic concerns in a warm and friendly environment.  Our entire staff  recognize the value of careful and confidential care.  Have a great semester!
