COLLEGE STUDENTS AND DEPRESSION

Depression is a common but serious illness that affect as many as 15 percent of college students according the American College Health Association (ACHA).  Symptoms can last for weeks, months or years if left untreated.  However, most people, even those with severe depression, can get better with appropriate treatment.  Appropriate treatment usually involves short-term psychotherapy and/or medications.
