An invitation to the 2008 Creativity and Innovation Management Communiity Meeting

For those of you who are unaware, and as a reminder for those who heard the announcement during this year’s Expert-to-Expert conference, our Center will be co-hosting an international conference with the editors of the Creativity and Innovation Management Journal. The conference will take place on campus, May 28 to 30, 2008. This is only the second time this journal, now in it’s sixteenth year, will host an international conference on applied imagination, creativity and innovation.

We are planning to have at least four renowned keynote speakers, two of which have already agreed to join the conference. Professor Todd Lubart from the University of Paris, who will discuss his research on creativity across cultures; Professor Michael Mumford of the University of Oklahoma, who will discuss the relationship between creativity and leadership; Professor Tudor Rickards and Dr. Ming Huei Chen.

We will complement the keynote speakers with paper presentations (short presentations of about 15 to 30 minutes). I invite you to consider submitting a paper for the conference (call for papers attached). All papers will be published in a conference proceedings and the best papers will be considered for publication in the Creativity and Innovation Management Journal. Consider writing up cases, experiences in delivering creativity training, thought pieces, empirical studies, etc. If you wish to do a bit of background research on what the journal publishes go to the following URL (it’s long you might wish to copy and paste into your browser):

We hope to have as many members of our CRS community involved as either participants and/or presenters, as well as others interested in creativity research from around the world.

Warmest Wishes,
Gerard
