Graduate Certificate Program (GCP)

This 18-credit-hour program consists of six courses that provide a solid foundation in facilitation, problem solving, and leadership. The certificate program focuses on applications of creativity as they relate to an individual’s professional context. This program contains three introductory-level courses (500 level) and three additional advanced courses (600 level) taken under advisement.

Professionals who successfull complete the graduate certificate program may continnue on for the full master of science degree (33 credit hours), as all courses in the certificate program can be applied toward the master of science degree.

Master's of Science Degree

This unique program includes coursework in the development and understanding of problem-solving, leadership, decision-making, and facilitation skills. The major focus of the program is learning how to nurture, develop, and support creative behavior in oneself and in others. Students choose from among three options as culminating experiences for the degree: a thesis, an original empirical investigation; a project, a significant applied undertaking; or a comphrehensive examination. This is a 33 credit-hour master of science degree (i.e., 11 courses, 3 credit hours each).
