Would you like the resources to show your students the fun and joy of computer science? Join us for a FREE 3-day hands-on workshop at Buffalo State to learn new and novel topics and approaches to teaching computer science. Participants will be provided with books, educational material, a certificate for 20 hours of professional development, breakfast and lunch.
This CS4HS workshop aims to:
- Teach you the basics of computational problem solving through various CS Unplugged activities (www.csunplugged.org)
- Give you hands-on experience with web design including HTML and JavaScript
- Expose you to computer programming, developing interactive games and writing digital storybooks using Alice (www.alice.org)
- Build relationships with other teachers and establish a community of computer science teachers.
