Career and technical education majors are prepared for positions as teachers and administrators in high schools, vocational schools such as BOCES, technical institutes, correctional facilities, and community college technical programs.
Graduates teach skills such as welding, agriculture, machining, cosmetology, and culinary arts. By choosing appropriate courses, graduates also may prepare to organize and operate work-study programs in secondary schools. Graduates also may pursue a master’s degree in career and technical education.
Graduates have been hired by Erie I BOCES, Erie II BOCES, the Buffalo Public Schools, Erie Community College, Niagara Community College, and Orleans-Niagara BOCES.
