About the Program
The B.S. degree program in business and marketing education leads to initial certification to teach business and marketing subjects in New York State.
In this teaching field, applicants for a teaching certificate must also have an equivalent of one year of occupation-related work experience, which they may obtain through the field experience courses as part of the business electives.
Admissions Requirements
No freshmen are accepted directly into the major. Students seeking admittance into the business and marketing education major must provide evidence of successfully completing BUS 312, BUS 324W, and BUS 301W, and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Successful completion is defined as achieving a minimum grade of C.
Career Information
Graduates from the business and marketing education program are prepared to teach business and marketing courses in middle school and high school.
