What to Do If You’ve Been Stalked, Harassed, or Cyberstalked

  • Never agree to meet with a stalker face-to-face.
  • Document any and all communication.  Keep a log of all phone calls, texts, e-mails, and in-person contacts.  Print and save all e-mail from the stalker.
  • Block his/her calls from your phone and be sure to save any written communications.
  • If you are being harassed on-line, log off right away because your immediate safety is first.
  • Do not initiate contact with the stalker, and do not respond to his/her messages.
  • Block or filter e-mail messages from the harasser, and file a complaint with his/her Internet service provider (ISP).
  • Remove his/her access to your pages on social networking, blogs, and other web sites.
