Rob Proctor ('92) & Jill Whitten ('92) Return to Lecture |

This spring, Robert Proctor ('92) and Jill Whitten ('92) visited to give a lecture to the students on varnishing techniques. The top photo shows Rob and Jill doing a demonstration in the paintings lab. Below, Jill helps second year student Cynthia Albertson with her backing removal for her 695 project. Frank Zuccari ('75) from the Art Institute of Chicago and Jill Sterrett ('86) from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art also visited this semester as guest lecturers. |

| Rome Prize Fellowship Awarded to Jana Dambrogio ('00) |
| Jana Dambrogio is one of 30 artists and scholars worldwide to be selected for the 2007-2008 Rome Prize fellowship to study in the ancient city. Dambrogio will take up residence at the American Academy in Rome in September 2007. There, she will refine, supplement, and build upon research she began on a collection of northeastern Italian medieval and early modern monastic legal and accounting documents and bindings at the Vatican Secret Archives. She will explore further the authentication and anti-forgery devices used on these structures; ones which were important features in officiating documents and have aspects which continue to influence officiating documents today. |
