Accreditation

Three Buffalo State programs -- Journalism, Media Production and Public Communication -- are the only majors in SUNY accredited by the Accrediting Council for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication. ACEJMC accredits 15 percent of communication departments in the United States. We received provisional accreditation in May 2008.

Lambda Pi Eta

The department's Rho Psi chapter of the Lambda Pi Eta Communication Honor Society offers students both recognition for academic achievement and opportunities to enhance their education.
