Buffalo State's Earth Sciences and Science Education Department is divided into two educational programs: Earth Sciences and Science Education.
Earth Sciences programs
The Earth is a volatile, dynamic, and ever-changing planet. As such, the subject proves to be an exciting field of study and produces a number of career fields from which to choose.
The earth sciences B.S. and geology B.A. degrees offer students the opportunity to develop a broad understanding of the Earth as a dynamic interacting system of land, sea, atmosphere, and solar system. Graduates of these programs may go on to further their studies in geology, environmental geology and other related fields or move on to careers as professional geoscientists or secondary earth science teachers in New York State.
