Call for Nominations: Students with leadership Potential
The Leadership Education And Development (LEAD) Center is receiving nominations to the Spring 2001 Corporate Site Weekend workshop. The workshop will commence on Friday, March 9, 2001 (3:00 P.M. - 6:30 P.M.) in Butler Library 210 and continue on Saturday, March 10, 2001 (9:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.) at M & T Bank downtown.
Please share the dates and times with your nominee. They will receive a letter from us confirming your nomination as well.
This semester's program, entitled "Bank on What your Future Needs: Leadership", will focus on leadership development as personal growth and skill development. Our students have great potential to make important changes in society. The presentations focus on the leadership roles that students have or might take on and thus become social change agents. We hope that you will be able to identify a student who is interested in building and improving his or her leadership abilities.
The Corporate Weekend gives students the opportunity to network and share ideas with other up-and-coming leaders, as well as with students already in leadership positions. Workshop sessions will cover topics such as communication skills, meeting management, goal setting, leadership style, team building, and creativity. These sessions will focus on personal development as well as utilizing all available resources to lead toward a strong and vital community. We hope for a good cross-section of the student body.
Participation is by your nomination only.
Please use the form below to nominate a student whom you feel would benefit from such an experience. Space limitations require us to manage the number of students that can attend. Give preference to students who are "up-and-coming" leaders.
Thank you for your assistance in identifying a bright and promising student for this program. Please submit nominations by February 21, 2001.
