Placement Possibilities and Probabilities
What can I do to increase the probability of placement for my students?
NSE annually publishes placement data from its most recent conference along with a four-year history of placements by campus, by priority, and by tuition payment plan. The placement data is helpful in advising and assisting students to make reasonable institutional choices and increasing the probability of placement.

Ranking Students
How do I rank students for placement at their first choice campus?
Ranking is a campus decision. While NSE recommends that the total value to the student be the prime consideration, some campuses use GPA, time of application, class year, or other criteria. (see NSE Handbook Sections 15.7.3 and 16.2.2.3)

Conference Placement Procedures
How are placements made? Placement is basically a mechanical process based on the space available at the host campus confirmed by a signature of the coordinator. Some campuses may accept students first from campuses where they are trying to place their own students. (see NSE Handbook Section 16.0)

Placements Made Outside the Conference
How are placements made outside of the March Conference?
While more than 3000 students are placed at NSE's annual conference, an additional 300-400 students are placed outside of that venue through communication between home and host coordinators. Completion of the Placement Choice Card, with copies to the host coordinator and the NSE Central Office finalize the process. The Placement Acceptance Form must be sent to the host campus as well.
