Beyond the Classroom
Applied Research Projects
Research opportunities are available to students in the study of rocks, fossils, environmental issues, and geological processes. Laboratory work and hands-on outdoor data collection are central investigation techniques applied by Earth Sciences and Science Education majors. Watch video.
Internship opportunities are available with engineering and environmental consulting firms and New York State and Erie County agencies.
Students can attend and present research findings at national and regional geology conferences with faculty members.
