Teaching Facilities
The department maintains a well stocked storeroom. Electronic databases list the rock, mineral, fossil, and map collections available for faculty and student use. Our collection contains over 2000 maps, 2000 labeled fossil specimens, 1500 labeled rock specimens, and 800 labeled mineral specimens available for use. In addition, we maintain a large quantity of labeled and unlabeled "bulk" minerals and rocks that are frequently used in students labs and assignments.
