Annotated Preliminary Bibliography

  1. Print Items: The preliminary bibliography should include approximately 30 print items, 15 of which must have a two to three sentence annotation. The preponderance of these items must be academic journal articles and books.

  2. Data Sources: The preliminary bibliography should include a listing of approximately five data sources (if appropriate to the topic). There may be overlap between data sources and on-line sources.

  3. On-Line Sources: The preliminary bibliography should include an annotated listing of approximately five on-line sources. The annotation should note the types of information and data available that might be useful for your topic. The source address must be clear.

  4. Format: For correct bibliographic format see the Citation Guide

  5. The bibliography is a working document. As such it changes as you do your research. Keep track of the print, data and on-line sources you've consulted, as well as their usefulness.

  6. The preliminary bibliography must be submitted on on the date specified in the Senior Thesis Calendar.
