Thesis Format

  1. The senior thesis will be at least 25 typewritten pages in length not including the title page or bibliography.

  2. References must follow the ASR, MLA or APA style with all references in parentheses rather than footnotes. Footnotes are substantive and are not meant for citations. For more information, see Citation Guidelines.

  3. The Thesis will be bound at the Quick Copy Center in Cleveland Hall (see the department secretary). The Department of Economics & Finance will pay for binding one copy that will be retained by the Department. Additional copies are the responsibility of the student. 

  4. A Table of Contents that reflects the outline of the paper must follow the title page.

  5. The paper should be divided into sections with section headings

  6. Long data sets should be relegated to the Appendix

  8. The title page must include, from top to bottom:

Submitted to the Department of Economics & Finance, Buffalo State College, in partial fulfillment of the requirements for a Bachelors of Arts (or Science depending on which degree the student is pursuing).
