Time Line

--Check your course syllabus for exact due dates--

  1. Topic Statement -- Due within the first month of classes (first week for summer classes).  Most professors will allow students to change topics later in the course. The early submission of the topic will provide the professor an opportunity to make suggestions and save students time.
  2. Outline -- Due approximately week 6 of the semester (at least one week before midterm).  Students should make sure to keep a copy of this for themselves, so their research will not be delayed while the instructor reviews the outline.
  3. Progress Report or Draft --- Due approximately week 9 of classes (about two weeks after midterm).
  4. Final Term Paper -- Due a week or two before the end of the semester. Check your course syllabus for the exact due date. Papers are due at the beginning of class on the due date.
