Spring 2009

On April 17, 2009 the Masters theses of two students from the Masters of Arts program in Applied Economics were awarded outstanding Master's Thesis Awards by the Graduate School.  The students, theses and adviser were: 

  • Masters Student:  Dekasset Drabo
    Thesis Title:   "The Impact of Political Instability on per Capita Income Growth in Sub-Saharan Africa." 
    Thesis Adviser:  Dr. Victor Kasper
  • Masters Student:  Awatif Abu-Ahmed
    Thesis Title:  "Evaluation of Foreign Aid as an Effective Policy Option for Economic Growth in Developing Countries."
    Thesis Adviser:  Dr. Victor Kasper

2007

In  2007 a Masters Project of a student from the Masters of Arts program in Applied Economics was awarded an outstanding Master's Project Award by the Graduate School.  The student, thesis and adviser were:

  • Masters Student:  Ashwini J. Kulkarni
    Project  Title:   "Reassessment of Valuation Ratios and Portfolio Returns," 
    Project Adviser:  Dr. Theodore F. Byrley

2006

In 2006 a Masters thesis student from the Masters of Arts program in Applied Economics was awarded an outstanding Master's Thesis Award by the Graduate School.  In addition, a Masters Project student from the Masters of Arts program in Applied Economics was awarded an outstanding Master's Project Award by the Graduate School.  The students, thesis, project and adviser were:
