A special “holding” major of Pre-Elementary Education (ELEW) has been established to help students planning to become part of the Elementary Education and Reading department move in the appropriate direction toward their goals.
Pre-El Ed Requirements
- Minimum of 12 hours of college work
- Satisfactorily complete CWP 101 or its equivalent
- Pass two Intellectual Foundations courses with a C or better
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
A purple application form is available in Bacon Hall, Room 302, two weeks prior to the admission deadline date.
Deadlines
February 15, July 15, or September 15 of each year, which will allow students to start in the Pre-Elementary Education (ELEW) program the following semester.
