New York State requires the following three certification exams before you receive initial certification:
- LAST (Liberal Arts and Sciences Test)*
- ATS-W (Assessment of Teaching Skills Written)
- CST (Content Specialty Test)
*You must register to take the LAST exam before you can apply to the full elementary education majors.
