The Equity and Campus Diversity Office, in partnership with the President's Council on Equity and Campus Diversity sponsors three campus-wide award programs.
The President's Award for Excellence in the Advancement of Equity and Campus Diversity is annually awarded to a faculty or staff member who has made exemplary contributions to the promotion of equity and diversity on campus.
The Muriel A. Howard Award for the Promotion of Equity and Campus Diversity recognizes faculty and staff who have gone beyond their usual duties to promote respect for diversity and individual differences. They have accomplished this through classroom discussions, curricular experiences, out of classroom activities, projects, discussions, or special mentorships that go beyond what is usually expected as a part of their regular job expectation or teaching assignment.
The Phillip Santa Maria Award for Student Leadership in Equity and Campus Diversity (PSMFullDoc.doc) will be annually awarded to recognize students who exemplify his commitment to service, social justice and diversity.
