Meet the Faculty

Sarita C. Samora

Dr. Samora joined the Exceptional Education Department in 1981. In addition to her role as department chair, she is also the director of the Bilingual Special Education Program. She typically teaches the bilingual courses, the research courses (EXE 684 and 690) and the assessment courses (EXE 320 and 501).

Areas of research interests include: first and second language acquisition issues, and assessment and instruction for children with disabilities who are English language learners.
