Jennifer Westover, Ph.D joined the Buffalo State faculty in 2010 after receiving her doctorate in Special Education from the University of Oregon. She is a Buffalo transplant with roots in the Pacific Northwest. She brings with her 8 years of public school experience as a special education teacher of students with significant disabilities between the ages of birth to sixth grade, as well as, background and training in school administration. Her research interests include the technical skills of teachers and the enhancement of those skills through specific observational feedback; technology assisted course delivery in teacher preparation; curriculum and instruction for students with significant disabilities; and teacher training in Direct Instruction and explicit instructional methods.
