


In accordance with SUNY policy, Buffalo State provides for participatory student involvement in the broad-based fee decision-making process, hosting a forum for discussion and opportunities for questions and answers. Buffalo State's consultation process for 2013-2014 fees began January 28, 2013, and ended April 1, 2013:

| February -March 2013 | Open consultation forum is conducted for students, including United Students Government (USG) and Graduate Student Association (GSA) |
| February - March 2013 | Fee increase proposal and consultation input are reviewed by the College Senate Student Welfare Committee and/or the College Senate Budget and Staff Allocations Committee |
| April 2013 | The College Senate provides its recommendation to the President |
| April 2013 | The President responds to the fee increase proposal |
| April 2013 |
Buffalo State submits its recommendation to SUNY. The fee increase process and recommendation are shared with the campus community. |
