BROAD-BASED FEES

  


In accordance with SUNY policy, Buffalo State provides for participatory student involvement in the broad-based fee decision-making process, hosting forums for discussion and opportunities for questions and answers.  Student consultation forums for 2014-2015 broad-based fees will be held:

Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at 12:15 p.m.
Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at 7:45 p.m.
Friday, February 28, 2014, at 3:00 p.m.

All forums will take place in the Campbell Student Union Assembly Hall.

Here is the timeline for the full broad-based fee consultation process for 2014-2015:

January 27, 2014

Spring semester classes begin

January - February 2014                                 

Fee custodians consult with committees:

February 2014 Requests are compiled into a fee increase proposal presentation

February 4, 2014, 12:15 p.m.
February 19, 2014, 7:45 p.m.
February 28, 2014, 3:00 p.m.

Open consultation forums are conducted in the Campbell Student Union Assembly Hall for students, including United Students Government (USG) and Graduate Student Association (GSA)
February - March 2014 Fee increase proposal and consultation input are reviewed by the College Senate Student Welfare Committee and/or the College Senate Budget and Staff Allocations Committee
April 2014 The College Senate provides its recommendation to the President
April 2014 The President responds to the fee increase proposal
April 2014

Buffalo State submits its recommendation to SUNY.  The fee increase process and recommendation are shared with the campus community.
