Students who have completed the requirements for a degree are no longer eligible to receive federal aid unless they are working on a second degree, regardless of whether they have applied for graduation. Students working on a second degree (associate degrees excluded) are no longer eligible for Federal Pell Grants or FSEOG grants.
For federal aid, students are not limited to a set number of semesters that they can receive aid. Rather, they must complete their degrees in 1 1/2 times the length of their program, measured in credit hours. Students become ineligible to receive federal aid at the point in time that it is determined that they cannot complete their degree within the time limit.
