The award letters that are sent out list eligibility for all federal grants, federal work-study and federal student loans. If a specific fund is not listed on the award either the student was not eligible, the school ran out of funding or the student indicated on the FAFSA that they were not interested in receiving that kind of fund (loans or work-study).
If the resources offered on the award letter are still not enough to cover the cost of attending college students should consider the following options:
- BSC's Time Payment Plan
- Part-time job (listings available through the Career Development Center in Grover Cleveland 306)
- Federal PLUS Loan (taken out by a dependent student's parent)
- Alternative Loan (private bank loan taken out by student)
- Departmental scholarships or scholarships from outside agencies
- Other financing options such as a second mortgage on the home or assistance from other relatives
