Having a work-study award does not guarantee a job. Students must conduct a job search using the on-line job listings. If you were awarded work-study you will be sent a packet of information in August/December/April that will give you detailed instructions on conducting a job search.
Once a department hires a student for a work-study position the student must submit employment papers to the Financial Aid Office prior to beginning to work. Students must prove that they are eligible to work in the U.S. by showing their social security card, birth certificate, passport or other proof. The original document must be provided. Photocopies or faxes are not acceptable.
