Elena Lourenco is currently exhibiting a new installation work, entitled “Heave,” in a solo gallery setting at the Urban Institute for Contemporary Art in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in conjunction with the International Art Prize competition. The exhibit opens Wednesday, September 23, 2009 and runs through October 10, 2009.
Elena has also exhibited works in the 2008 Western Conference for Cast Iron Art, Denver, CO and the 2009 National Conference for the Advancement of Ceramic Art, Tempe, AZ. She exhibited a figurative sculpture in “Not Fit for Human Consumption,” a group show at Gallery 5 in Richmond, VA in November 2008.
