Every September, the Buffalo State College Foundation Golf and Tennis Scholarship Classic raises money for the All College Honors Program
Along with conducting funding drives and multiple donation opportunities, the Buffalo State College Foundation coordinates major fundraising events to further the college's mission. Two popular fundraising events highlight the year, the Scholarship Gala and the Golf and Tennis Scholarship Classic.
These events help to support the mission of the Buffalo State College Scholarship Fund—to recruit bright, young scholars with the All College Honors Program scholarship awards, while helping to retain students who have maintained a GPA of at least 3.5, but who have unmet financial needs. In addition to these goals, the Buffalo State College Scholarship Fund helps provide more than 155 awards offered through various college departments and organizations.
Science in Motion, Buffalo State College's 12th annual Foundation Scholarship Gala, was celebrated on May 2, 2009, at the Connecticut Street Armory.
Hosted by President Muriel A. Howard and co-chaired by College Council Vice Chair Howard A. Zemsky and Eunice A. Lewin, the gala was the single most successful fundraiser in the history of the college. A record $270,000 was raised, benefitting 160 students in the All College Honors Program.
Held every September, the Buffalo State College Foundation Golf and Tennis Scholarship Classic allows friends and colleagues to enjoy lunch, golf and tennis, dinner, and awards for a fabulous cause.
All proceeds raised benefit Buffalo State College's All College Honors Program.
