The Graduate Association of Student Personnel Administrators (GASPA) is a professional organization for graduate students enrolled in the Student Personnel Administration (SPA) program at Buffalo State.
The current GASPA constitution was last updated in September of 1993, and thus, a small Ad Hoc Committee was created to propose changes to the current constitution. The Ad Hoc Committee submitted several proposed changes that were eventually incorporated into the current constitution with the approval of the GASPA Executive Board. Below is a link to the proposed GASPA constitution, which was finalized by the GASPA Executive Board in December 2005.
From the proposed Graduate Association of Student Personnel Administrators (GASPA) Constitution:
Vision Statement (proposed)
To serve the Student Personnel Administration graduate program as an outstanding catalyst for unification between its various constituencies including prospective, current, and past students, faculty, and the student affairs profession in general.
Mission Statement (proposed)
The Graduate Association of Student Personnel Administrators (GASPA), in collaboration with the program faculty and SPA Alumni Association, will actively contribute to the education of each student by providing learning experiences through quality programs and services that contribute to personal and professional growth—in preparation for successful careers as student practitioners.
