Professor King's research interests include; the application of retail location theory, the integration and use of GIS within a business environment, network planning and analysis for retailers (with a particular focus on the banking industry), and the development of spatial decision support systems for retailers.
Courses that he currently teaches include GEG 199 (Computers in Social Sciences), GEG 305 (Principles of Economic Geography), GEG 427 (Business Applications in GIS), and GEG 406 (Geography of Retailing).
Mr. King is an active consultant in the banking industry and presents often at regional and national banking conferences.
